Fort Pierce Training Center Pregnancy Policy

The Fort Pierce Training Center (FPTC) is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all students, including those who are pregnant. This policy outlines the guidelines and procedures to ensure the health and safety of pregnant students participating in our programs.

Policy:

1. **Medical Clearance:**
   - Pregnant students must obtain medical clearance from their healthcare provider before participating in any physical activities or programs at FPTC. The medical clearance must confirm that the student is fit to participate and should detail any restrictions or special considerations.

2. **Health and Safety:**
   - FPTC will provide information on the physical demands of the program to help healthcare providers make informed decisions.
   - Pregnant students are encouraged to inform their instructors of their pregnancy and any specific needs or concerns they may have.

3. **Assumption of Risk:**
   - Pregnant students must sign a health waiver acknowledging the risks associated with participating in physical activities while pregnant. This waiver will confirm that the student has received medical clearance and understands the potential risks involved.

4. **Participation Guidelines:**
   - Pregnant students should follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by FPTC instructors.
   - Any changes in the student’s medical condition or health status must be reported to the instructors immediately.

5. **Support and Accommodations:**
   - FPTC will make reasonable accommodations to support pregnant students, such as modifying activities or providing additional breaks as needed.
   - Instructors will work with pregnant students to ensure they can participate safely and comfortably.

6. **Emergency Procedures:**
   - Pregnant students must provide emergency contact information and their healthcare provider’s contact details.
   - In case of an emergency, FPTC staff will follow established procedures to ensure the student receives appropriate medical attention.

7. **Compliance and Monitoring:**
   - FPTC will regularly review and update this policy to ensure it remains effective and compliant with relevant regulations and guidelines.
   - Instructors and staff will receive training on how to support pregnant students and ensure their safety during activities.

**Procedure:**

1. **Notification and Documentation:**
   - Pregnant students must notify FPTC of their pregnancy and provide the required medical clearance documentation.
   - The medical clearance and signed waiver must be submitted before participating in any physical activities.

2. **Review and Approval:**
