DRESS CODE POLICY
The Fort Pierce Training Center (FPTC) strives to maintain a professional learning environment. To achieve this, we require students to adhere to a dress code that reflects the standards of our training programs and the expectations of the professional settings in which they will work.
**Dress Code Requirements**
1. Approved Attire
- Scrubs: Students must wear scrub tops and bottoms. The scrubs should be clean, well-fitted, and free of wrinkles.
- FPTC Shirts: Alternatively, students may wear FPTC-branded shirts with pants. These shirts must be purchased through the official FPTC store or provided by the training center.
2. Prohibited Attire
- Shorts: Shorts of any kind are not permitted.
- Ripped Pants: Pants with rips, holes, or excessive wear are not allowed.
- Stretch/Gym Pants: Stretch pants, leggings, yoga pants, and gym pants are not acceptable attire.
Additional Guidelines
- Footwear: Students must wear closed-toe shoes appropriate for the training environment. Sneakers or professional footwear are recommended. Sandals, flip-flops, and open-toed shoes are not allowed.
- Hygiene and Appearance: Students are expected to maintain good personal hygiene and present themselves in a neat and professional manner. Clothing should be clean and free of odors.
- Accessories: Jewelry and accessories should be minimal and should not interfere with the training activities. Long hair should be tied back, and hats or caps are not permitted indoors unless required for specific training activities.
- Identification: Students must wear their FPTC identification badges at all times while on campus or participating in off-site training activities.
Enforcement
- Compliance: Instructors and staff will monitor compliance with the dress code policy. Students not adhering to the dress code will be asked to change into appropriate attire before being allowed to participate in training activities.
- Consequences: Repeated violations of the dress code policy may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to warnings, suspension from training activities, or dismissal from the program.
Exceptions
- Medical or Religious Exemptions: Students requiring exceptions to the dress code for medical or religious reasons must submit a written request to the administration for approval.
